The focus of the auction is Black Point, the Wisconsin Historical Society’s newest historic site. Built in 1888, the Black Point Mansion was the summer home of Chicago brewer baron Conrad Seipp and his family. This past autumn the Wisconsin Antiques Dealers Association, our auction sponsors, funded the restoration of the portrait of Mrs. Seipp, which is currently being displayed in the mansion. Proceeds from this year’s auction will support further restoration projects of this beautiful and valuable historic estate.
